The free adventure learning program GoNorth! is brought to you by the College of Education and Human Development at University of Minnesota and NOMADS Online Classroom Expeditions.“You are about to embark on an annual series of thrilling and educational expeditions in the circumpolar Arctic. With the Polar Huskies as your guide, you will investigate the history, people, culture, geography, climate, ecology, politics, legends and language of this remote and fragile region.Though GoNorth! is an online journey for students of all ages, the K-12 classroom (ages 6-18) is the primary focus in the development of our curricula and the materials found in this Online Classroom at PolarHusky.com.”In addition to all the curricular materials a teacher will need to take students on the 12-week course, there are opportunities for professional development, an A-Z guide to the artic, a photo collection of the all the huskies in the kennel, a photo journal, polar movies, sounds of the Artic, and 360 degree views from some of the most unique locations on the trail.
