AFS Intercultural Programs, Inc. is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.

AFS offers exchange programs that can extend from one month to a year to 55 countries and involves 10,000 participants each year. This website provides information for high school students as well as adults wishing to go abroad, hosting a foreign student, and volunteering for the organization.

Additionally, this site includes information on safety and risk management as it pertains to the program issues, information about seminars, a teacher’s toolkit, and survivor’s kits for exchange students and host families.
