http://www.teens.drugabuse.gov/
“The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a component of the National Institutes of Heath (NIH), created this Web site to educate adolescents ages 11 through 15 (as well as their parents and teachers) on the science behind drug abuse. NIDA enlisted the help of teens in developing the site to ensure that the content addresses appropriate questions and timely concerns. The site delivers science-based facts about how drugs affect the brain and body so that kids will be armed with better information to make healthy decisions.”Written in a style appealing to kids, it gives them drug facts on the brain & addiction, anabolic steroids, ecstasy, marijuana, nicotine, and other drugs. “Sara Bellum” gives them the scoop on how marijuana, opiates, inhalants, hallucinogens, methamphetamine, nicotine, stimulants, and steroids affect the brain. In addition to this information, kids can read stories from other kids their age who have struggled with drug addiction. There are also a variety of challenges and quests as well as educational assignments that teachers or parents can ask their students to try out.
