NC WISEOWL, a program from the NC Department of Public Instruction, is an excellent resource for students, teachers, administrators and parents. Periodical databases and other subscription-only reference materials are available, as well as easy access to other teaching and information resources from the Media and Technology consultants at DPI. Students conducting research, teachers doing research for classes or looking for educational journals, parents helping with homework will all benefit by using this collection of encyclopedia, magazine and reference works. Funded by the North Carolina legislature, this service is free to public school teachers and students. Ask your Media Specialist for passwords to access this at home.
