A Compendium of Standards and Benchmarks for K-12 education is a wonderful resource. This document is a compendium of benchmarks from over 200 standards. Browse the Standards, which are organized into 14 curriculum areas. Clicking on an area takes you to a list of standards for that area. To give an example: Browse the Standards, choose Standards for Geography, and click on any standard and see the citation.

There are, in addition, pages of Lesson Plans and Activities, organized by curriculum area. Many of the other valuable McREL publications like Issue Reports and Tools and Guides are available for free download.
