This program “involves students and teachers engaged in inquiry-based classroom projects exploring other peoples and cultures.” Students will study one or more aspects of a culture to promote understanding and appreciation of that culture. Completed work becomes part of a class website on CultureQuest to be shared with other students. The program strenthens inquiry, research and literacy skills, and technology skills.

The site provides resources which will give step-by-step instructions for participation in a project. Included is a technology toolkit which has a tutorial for basic skills and software downloads with corresponding tutorials. The Cultural Studies Toolkit contains lesson plans and activities, and teacher guides.
