Information literacy includes the skills related to understanding when we need information and where to locate it effectively and efficiently. It also includes the technological skills needed to use the modern library as a gateway to information. It enables us to analyze and evaluate the information we find, thus giving us confidence in using that information to make a decision or create a product.Designed for college faculty to learn more about information literacy and to integrate these concepts and related skills into their teaching, this website is relevant to high school teachers seeking to improve their own information skills and prepare their students for college. The site includes curriculum development resources as well as ideas about collaboration between teachers and information professionals like Media Specialists.
