Royal Ontario Museum
The Royal Ontario Museum is among the world’s leading museums of natural history and of world cultures. The museum’s World Culture Galleries contain permanent exhibits of ancient Asian and Middle Eastern cultural significance as well as permanent exhibits of First Nations and other Canadian artifacts. The Natural History Galleries feature exhibits on a variety of topics, from gems, gold and other minerals to fossils and biodiversity.
Of special interest are the Programs’ Online Activities, which include Ancient Egypt, Iroquois longhouses, fossils and more.
Also of interest are the site’s Publications and Digital Images. While there be sure to visit ROM Images, an online collection of images from the collections, Podcasts, which contains video podcasts and transcripts on a wide variety of topics and 3-D Imaging, which showcases models of objects from the musuem’s collection.
