In this Xpeditions activity, students pretend they are head of a new National Geographic Climate Observation Post, where they must create a Climate Map to illustrate the world’s various climate zones. After studying the world’s weather, climate, and climate controls, students explore the six climate zones in the world. Then, students use web resources to develop their own maps. Although this activity is geared toward upper elementary students, it has differentiated instruction for students of all ages.
