Earth, which stands for Education and Research: Testing Hypotheses, from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute is a prototype website for students to explore, learn, and imagine what they could do with access to real-time data from moorings out in Monterey Bay. With interactive graphics and video, students can roll over a mooring position to see the current conditions and click on the parts of the mooring to learn more about them.Another portion of this website provides case studies that examine daily changes, wind, weather, storms, salmon, and upwelling with animated graphics and interactive videos.
