Created in 1995 by two Scottish businessmen, Achievers International is a unique enterprise & citizenship program. Each school which wishes to be a part of the program must complete an application form. Each group of students numbering from 5 to 30 forms a company. An Achievers International contact provides the class support through the entire year. Classes buy a product or products from local suppliers or manufacturers and contact their partner school by way of video conference to show their partner school possible exports, while others may send samples.Students will learn how to conduct market research, order goods, confirm their partner’s order, market and sell goods, make shipments, settle payments and then close the company. The project helps develop student’s key skills and entrepreneurial attitudes while learning about other cultures, citizenship and globalization.
