These student pages provide activities for K-12 students to learn more about the natural resources of the United States in a fun and interesting way. Information includes tidepools, types of ocean energy, ocean sand and gravel, the importance of saving energy, historic shipwrecks of the Gulf of Mexico, and more.

Ocean Energy discusses the energy that can be found above and below the sea. This section has activities which explore petroleum and natural gas, oil and gas seeps, methane hydrates, solar energy, wind energy, wave energy, and tidal energy.
Ocean Sand and Gravel explains the importance of our beaches. Coastal erosion and its impact on sea creatures, fish, shipwrecks, and its effect on waves is explored.
Students will also learn about the types of energy and the importance of conservation. They can see what they can do at home and school to save energy and money.
