Jet Propulsion Education Gateway
http://education.jpl.nasa.gov/index.html
This website will spark interest in space exploration, robotics, and the environmental health of our planet with activities based on earth and space science. The k-12 section has three areas of exploration. Kids will find free “space stuff” to do and see. The students section provides homework help. The educator’s area has instructional materials from across the NASA spectrum plus tools to match these materials with classroom needs.
Students can “meet” JPL explorers and NASA astronauts. Play some games and learn about physics, the deep space network, Earth Science, and more. They can find out about upcoming competitions for high schools students in the subjects of math, science, and engineering.
NASA and JPL transfer the results of their research and the processes of exploration and discovery into learning experiences. This website provides teachers with accurate, interesting and aligned opportunities, materials, resources and activities so that teachers can inspire the next generation of explorers. Educators can find professional development opportunities through conferences, workshops, and soon via distance learning. Interactive games. podcasts, videos and fabulous pictures are available to use in the classroom.
