Voices from the Latino Community in North Carolina
http://www.duke.edu/web/latinovoices/index.html
This project is designed to provide a digital oral history archive that documents the Spanish-speaking immigrant experience in North Carolina in 2004-2005. Through this website students will be able to do activities in Spanish which are based on the interviews of 13 individuals who come from 8 different Spanish-speaking countries.
The website helps students gain an understanding of what life is like as an immigrant and the activities are an excellent way for students to practice the Spanish language. Voices from the Latino Community in North Carolina is also an important resource for teaching oral history. The site has a section with links to other digital oral history archives.
