UNC-TV Online
UNC-TV has been broadcasting educational programming since 1955. Teachers will find programming in the sciences, the arts, English language, history, and other subjects which they can tape for use in the classroom. In addition, UNC-TV has Watch and Listen Webcasts which can be viewed online through RealPlayer. These can be watched by students in the classroom or at home.
Teachers will find wonderful resources that go along with programming in TV for Learning. There are “activity guides and lesson plans that cover subjects like how to use TV, math, science, social studies, arts & literature, health and many more. You will find monthly broadcast schedules specific to certain subjects, including college telecourses for credit, GED, Teach An Adult To Read, English as a Second Language, Ready To Learn and NC Dept. of Public Instruction’s School TV.”
UNC-TV also offers workshops to teachers. For information on the latest workshops available check out the Teachers and Childcare Providers page.
