This site was created by a team of students at Jasper Place High School, for the purpose of teaching students and anyone else interested in the human eye. There are five main sections of the site: anatomy, functions, dissection, teacher resources, and optical illusions. The anatomy section allows users to view a diagram of parts of the eye in combination with descriptions of each part. The functions section provides information on how the eye works and uses a number of animations to demonstrate this information visually. In the dissection section, video clips of an eye dissection are shown, along with downloadable scripts for each clip. Teachers are provided with printer friendly resources on anatomy and functions of the eye, along with a quiz and answer key. Finally, there is a section containing a small collection of optical illusions.
