The Superfund Basic Research Program
The Superfund Basic Research Program is comprised of scientists who are researching new methods to better understand and clean up hazardous waste sites. Their goal is to “understand the human health and environmental risks associated with hazardous waste sites, which will ultimately help devise strategies for remediating such sites in order to minimize public health concerns.”
“The RTC conducts teacher professional development activities for North Carolina school districts through workshops on groundwater contamination for middle grades teachers.”
