Kenan Fellows Program
http://www.ncsu.edu/kenanfellows/
This program was established in 2000 to address issues with teacher retention and teacher recruitment. The Kenan Fellows Programs takes the best K-12 public school educators in the state and places them in a partnership with scientists and university faculty to create innovative curricula for North Carolina teachers to use in their classrooms. The program “promotes teacher innovation and creativity” as well as leadership. Fellows remain active in their classrooms during the two year program. Published projects are available on the website.
