This project has resources for almost every person involved in a child’s education. The home page has tools for students to learn the value of money and saving it in an interactive environment, in addition to links to Teachers’ and Parents’ Resources. Tools include:
- Ask Mark - A page that encourages visitors to ask questions about money and savings with responses from “Mark the Money Kid”. There is also a list of previously asked questions and responses.
- Time Warp - This page examines how the concept and use of currency has changed throughout history.
- Looking Back at Money - A slightly more in-depth look at money through historic periods, especially the role of money in American history. Includes sections such as: Historical Snapshot, Standard Pay, and What Did Items Cost?
- Money Tech - A look at how technology is changing how we pay for things.
- Savings Wizard - A tool designed to teach children about saving their money to purchase items on their wish list.
- Around the World - A look at foreign currencies including information on Geography, Economy, Politics, and History.
There is also the Classroom, which divides students into Grades 1-5 (Elementary) and Grades 6-8 (6+), but contains the same subject areas: Money Basics, Money Math, Money Habits, Money in the Community, Money in the Nation, Money in the World, and Business 101.
In the Teachers’ Center tools are broken up by grade ranges: Grades 1-5 and Grades 6-8.
