Thinkfinity- Internet Content for the Classroom
Thinkfinity.org is a merger of Verizon MarcoPolo and the Thinkfinity Literacy Network. Visitors to the site will find “a wealth of discipline-specific, standards-based educational resources” from its content partners:

The four main areas are for educators, students, parents, and after school. There you will find lesson plans, interactive activities, and other online resources. Thinkfinity.org has over 55,000 standards-based resources that are “endorsed by the nation’s leading education organizations to ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date, unbiased, and appropriate for students.”
In the Educator area, teachers will find resources that are based on national standards and are also aligned to each state’s standards. Many of the resources reflect 21st century skills in the core content areas of science, mathematics and humanities. With top-quality online educational resources for literacy instruction and lifelong learning, Thinkfinity.org “strengthens literacy development, creativity and critical thinking skills for success in the 21st Century.” There is also a Professional Development area that provides information on training and materials, trainer resources, and a trainer recognition program.
K-16 students will find plenty of fun, educational activities and interactive resources on Thinkfinity.org. Just put a keyword in the search box. You can also search by subject, grade, resource type, and content partner. You can also go directly to a partner site. Find timely resources including, facts, historic events, web exhibits, and more.
Parents will find valuable educational information to help their children be successful learners. There are sections of resources by subject and my theme. Parents will also like the Afterschool section which provides productive learning experiences. They even have modules for project-based learning which helps students develop critical thinking skills.
