Barnaby Bear

This website uses multimedia presentations that show Barnaby, the star of the site, visiting different countries and continents. The Stories help familiarize students with geographic concepts as well as teaching them about different countries. One story has Barnaby traveling to Australia, which can be shown with or without sound.
The Games page is a collection of interactive puzzles and quizzes with the difficulty for each represented by bear claws.
The Photo Album contains links to Barnaby’s Photos, Your Photos, and Barnaby’s Chester Photos and Island Photos. Barnaby’s photos are images of monuments from around the world. Your photos represents photos that have been submitted by students. The Chester Photos are places local to Chester where Barnaby lives; the Island Photos are local to Papa Westray, which is part of the Orkney Islands.
The Scrapbook provides an interactive and multi-faceted look at the selected topic. Each choice in the Scrapbook offers a quiz, print out and activity.
There are also additional resources and information available for parents and teachers in Useful Links, and Further Barnaby Bear Resources.
There is a link in the upper-left corner to help make the page more accessible by providing an alternate (text-only) site with larger font and greater contrast.
