The Foundation was created to contribute to the quality of science and math education in the United States through the administration of grants for related projects to public and private (not for profit) schools.
Grants are available to teachers in grades K-6 and 7-12. The K-6 grants are $1000 awards to be used solely by the teacher in the classroom. The 7-12 grants are administered to projects that will engage students in science in new and creative ways. Award amounts for the 7-12 grants vary. Examples of grants awarded in previous years (including amounts) are shared on each grant’s webpage.
The Recent Grants section includes information on the previously mentioned K-6 and 7-12 grants as well as Featured Grants, which include grants designed to promote science education and environmental awareness.
Information on the application process as well as the application, available for download as a PDF, can be found on the How to Apply page.
