The ChemCollective
http://www.chemcollective.org/
Initially founded as part of a virtual lab in 2000, this site provides simulation designed to emulate “real world” chemistry and scenario-based learning activities.
For instructors there are six types of pre-made activities for use in the classroom: virtual lab problems, real-world scenarios, concept tests, simulations, tutorials, and course modules.
There is a Free Online Stoichiometry Course available.
Educators can create websites for their classes to access during or outside of class. Students can then access the page and its related resources at their convenience.
Students can find assigned homework and quizzes from their class website. In addition, students can find practice problems, reference tools, online simulations, real-life scenarios, and activities.
A murder mystery is available in the student section and requires participants to gather clues, interview suspects, and analyze the evidence.
Some elements available in the following languages: Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, French and Galego.
