Just like school Library Media Center, the Internet Public Library Kidspace has resources to help students grades two through seven to find answers to their research questions and locate interesting things to read. Ask a question (allow 3 days to get an answer), search the collection, or browse by topic. If you have a State Report, Country Report or Science Fair Project, there are specially designed research collections available for you to use. If you are just looking for great websites featuring stories look in the “Reading Zone” or if you are trying to build your skills in Web Page Design look in the “Computers and Internet” section. No matter what your interest you are sure to find websites covering that topic.
The Internet Public Library began as an educational initiative designed to provide students and professionals in the library and information science (LIS) profession a place to explore and learn about the practice of librarianship in the digital age. Kidspace and Teenspace provide access to the appropriate content for students ages 8 to 18.
