Founded in 1997, this organization is dedicated to fostering an online, educational community in an effort to provide educators with resources and effective instructional strategies.
The collection of assignments includes projects, papers, and activities. Assignments may include in-class projects and homework, which can be either individual or group work.
Assignments are annotated with member comments reflecting their opinion of the assignment, whether they have used it in the classroom, and their rating on a scale of one to five.
Membership is free, and members may create personal collections to create an compilation of assignments reflecting a particular purpose. Personal collection owners can annotate the collection in order to explain the particular purpose more clearly.
Faculty development is supported through the Teaching and Technology Community and through the availability of support materials for electronic learning. The Teaching and Technology Community provides resources for those interested in teaching with technology.
Guest experts are available through the Virtual Speakers Bureau.
