Wayne County Public Library’s genealogy department has digitized the 1911/1912 Goldsboro City Directory, The City of Goldsboro, North Carolina, a history of the city, and photographs of Goldsboro street scenes and businesses from the 1870’s – 1920s.
The Goldsboro City Directory has images of the pages of the directory with a transcription of each page. Items include churches, business listings, individual names and addresses, advertisements, and city, county, state, and United States government information.
The book, The City of Goldsboro, North Carolina, was published in 1914 and includes descriptions and photographs of Goldsboro and its businesses. Each page is also transcribed.
The photograph section has over 65 photographs including houses, commercial buildings, public buildings, and parks and gardens. Also included are images of people, parades and cultural activities, and railroads and street cars.
The Wayne County Library received a digitization grant from NC ECHO to create this site.
