Environmental Inquiry
This curriculum is designed to provide interactive projects to students and teachers. Four books have been published, and support materials, available online, include student project ideas, protocols, and interactive research.
If you are looking for a way to make environmental education interesting and hands-on, this site may provide the answer. The four book topics are: Toxicology, Ecology, Biodegradation, and Watersheds. Supporting materials, including outside links, are provided.
Student goals include: the development of research skills; the ability to design research projects, especially on local topics; participate in student science communities; and enhance their scientific understanding. To do this EI incorporates two levels of inquiry: protocols and interactive research.
Registration is required to access the teacher resources, which include: tests, curriculum guidelines, and downloadable teacher’s aids.
