http://serc.carleton.edu/microbelife/index.html
“Teaching and learning about the diversity, ecology and evolution of the microbial world; discover the connections between microbial life, the history of the earth and our dependence on micro-organisms.”
Microbial Life is a website that provides information and teaching resources about micro-organisms, including their ecology, diversity, and evolution. Along with original educational materials, this site also contains links to resources already existing on the web and resources that have been created by other groups devoted to microbiology.
Under the link to Resources for K-12 Teachers and Students, there are activities, webquests, and special collections of resources for use. Each resource has a helpful annotation to describe what it offers. For more general resources and information on microbiology, the section of Online Resources offers a wide variety of links to further materials, including websites, Power Points, data sets, and teaching activities. These materials can be used to support lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and class projects and activities.
