Professional development offerings
The primary outcome of the ERP’S professional development activities is to assist both formal and informal educators in gaining access to, as well as an understanding of, environmental science and health content and activities that will stimulate student interest in the subject(s).
- Workshops are typically limited to 20-24 people per session. Formal and informal educators and members of the general public are eligible.
- Workshop content and activities are aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
- Workshop strategies include modeling hands-on activities that participants can take back to their classroom and providing ample time to process the activities with other workshop participants.
- Workshop participants are invited to complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the workshop.
- Workshops are free; materials and lessons are provided at no cost to participants.
- Workshop staff is available for post-workshop assistance.
