This collaborative project allows visitors to explore Chaco Canyon National Park and ancient the Maya in the Yucatan through aerial images, movies, and QuickTime VR panoramas.

The Traditions of the Sun: The Yucatan section takes viewers to the great Mayan cities of Chich’en Itza, Uxmal, Dzibilchaltun, Mayapan, and others. Students will learn about Mayan astronomy, history, culture, and science.

The remarkable civilization of the Chaco people is explored at Chaco Culture National Historical Park. Students will learn about “the Sun and Native American solar practices within a larger historical and cultural context.”
