Designing a virtual path
http://illuminations.nctm.org/LessonDetail.aspx?ID=L158
A lesson plan for grades K–1 Mathematics
In this lesson, one of a four-part unit from Illuminations titled “Ladybug Adventures—Learning Geometry and Measurement Concepts,“ students use their knowledge of numbers, measurement, and geometry to design a “virtual path” which enables a ladybug to hide under a leaf. They also develop navigational skills by testing to see if their path is accurate, and then revising their solutions.
