A lesson plan for grades K and 2 Mathematics
In this lesson, the first of a six-part unit from Illuminations titled “Food Pyramid Power,” students visit a website to play a game related to the food pyramid and sort foods using the categories of the food pyramid. They also create sets up to ten and write numerals up to ten. This lesson makes a natural connection to the science of nutrition.
