"Adopt" a geographic news story

A lesson plan for grades K–2 Information Skills and Social Studies
In this lesson, from Xpeditions, students will be introduced to some stories from National Geographic News and then invited to discuss the reasons why it is a good idea to follow the news. The class will “adopt” a geographic news story, design posters to illustrate it, and research related topics.
