A lesson plan for grades K–2 English Language Arts
This EDSITEment unit is a series of lessons in which students will become familiar with fairy tales. They will read and learn to understand fairy tales so that they can better comprehend the structures of literature as well as for the sake of the wonder, pleasure, and human understanding these stories can provide in their own right. The unit is broken down into six separate lessons. Included in this lesson are printable handouts.

Grade 1
- Goal 2: The learner will develop and apply strategies and skills to comprehend text that is read, heard, and viewed.
