A lesson plan for grade 6 Science
In this Science NetLinks lesson, students will explore volcanoes through the making of models and reflect upon their learning through drawing sketches of their models. Once they have finished making their models, they will experiment with making their volcanoes erupt. Students will observe how eruption changes the original form of their volcano models. In this way, students see first hand how this type of phenomena creates physical change.
