A lesson plan for grades 6–8 Science
The purpose of this lesson is to illustrate how the use of the scientific method can solve different kinds of problems, like blocking unwanted sunlight. This lesson was designed by the Challenger Center as part of NASA’s MESSENGER Mission. Students complete tasks that address the problem of excess sunlight and how it can cause blinding conditions that make it difficult or impossible to see well. Science NetLinks provides links to the actual lesson with step-by-step instructions, student handouts, the MESSENGER information sheet, and other related Science NetLinks lessons.
