A lesson plan for grades K–1 Science
In this Xpeditions lesson, students explore the animals of Antarctica and the Antarctic food chain. Activities in this less engage students in whole class discussion, online learning, and creation of an art project.
Students will:
- draw and cut out pictures of Antarctic animals;
- paste the animal pictures onto a collage;
- draw arrows to illustrate this ecosystem’s food web; and
- write or discuss the question of how important krill is to the Antarctic ecosystem.
