In this lesson, students participate in an experiment to explore the cardiac output measurement. After conducting the experiment, students record and analyze their data and hypothesize the results.

Students will:

  • Explore rates of change and accumulation in context.

  • Understand the meaning of measurement data and categorical data, of univariate and bivariate data, and of the term variable.
  • Use simulations to construct empirical probability distributions.
