A lesson plan for grade 2 Social Studies
In this Xpeditions lesson, students explore how culture and experience influence people’s perceptions of places and regions. Activities in this lesson engage students in development of visual literacy skills, online learning, and whole class discussion.
Students will:
- describe how their personal experiences influence their understanding of a photograph;
- describe how Chin brings his experiences into his work; and
- describe how their own experiences affect their understanding of the world.
Xpeditions provides detailed directions for completing the lesson, suggestions for assessment and extension activities, discussion questions, and links to helpful web resources.
