A lesson plan for grades 3–5 English Language Arts and Social Studies
In this Xpeditions lesson, students explore Lexington and Concord, the Old North Church, or the historical poem “Paul Revere’s Ride?” Students use historical and current maps of the Boston area to trace Paul Revere’s route and learn about the region and the conflict. Activities in this lesson engage students in reading poetry, analyzing text for informational purposes, and development of map-reading skills.
Students will:
- be able to use a map and a narrative to trace a historic event in a spatial context.
