A lesson plan for grades K–2 English Language Arts and Information Skills
In this lesson, primary students will work together as a class to seek information on the sloth. A variety of resources and formats will be used with notes recorded on an information wheel graphic organizer. Guiding the listening, looking, and learning process helps students gain confidence and develop strategies for gathering information independently. The teacher explains how to use this information note-taking in a way that can help them write reports in the future.
