Jan Brett is an award winning author and illustrator of children’s books. Some titles for which Jan Brett is famous are The Mitten, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Town Mouse Country Mouse, Beauty and the Beast, The Wild Christmas Reindeer, and many more. Coloring sheets and masks of the animals of characters from her books published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons may be printed out for educational uses. Electronic postcards may be sent from this site. There is also an activities page and information about the author. Students may even send an email to Jan Brett. The site hosts contests for students and provides information about book tours.

The site contains many materials for teachers to be used in conjuction with units on her books. Stationary from the Print Your Own Cards and Envelopes page provides colorful customizable writing paper for the next friendly letter your students write. Videos are available, some of Jan Brett reading aloud, demonstrating her techniques and talking about her inspirations. Numerous videos provide lessons on “How to Draw” various characters in her books through a step-by-step demonstration.
