The Great American Landmarks Adventure “takes you on a fabulous trip through time and space through a series of drawings by Roxie Munro. You’ll see 43 National Historic Landmarks and learn about more than 3,000 years of our country’s past! Travel has been arranged by Heritage Preservation Services, National Park Service.Click on the Time Machine and you’ll be looking at a cave painting or “pictograph” that archeologists think is about 1500 years old! Then, each time you get back into the Time Machine, you’ll travel forward in history until you reach our country’s expedition to the moon in 1969. Have a great trip and don’t forget to write!Along the way, you can even print out the drawings and color them in!”Just a few other of the great places you’ll visit include Mark Twain’s house, the Brooklyn Bridge, Independence Rock, and the Paramount Theater.A teacher’s guide and suggested activities for use with the historic landmark material are included.
