Each one of us can make a difference. Each one of us has a story to tell. Why study great people if they are so removed, so out of context, that we can’t relate to them and identify their heroic and admirable qualities? Examining the qualities of a hero and sharing our heroes publicly allows a personal connection and perhaps can encourage students to emulate the acts and characteristics of these heroes.My Hero collects stories about remarkable individuals, famous and not so famous, from contributors world-wide. “These stories serve to remind us that we all have potential to overcome great obstacles and achieve our dreams by following in the footsteps of our heroes.” By participating in this project, users can bring attention to the heroic qualities of people in their lives and highlight people they admire. Multiple ideas will contribute to the growth of this online resource. More information is available, including the history and mission of this not-for-profit educational Web project.
