A lesson plan for Grades 10–12 American Government
This lesson from EconEdLink helps students understand the basic services provided for Americans in the United States Constitution and the necessity of a system of taxation to fund those services. - Objective 2.01: Identify principles in the United States Constitution.
- Objective 2.08: Examine taxation and other revenue sources at the national level of government.
- Objective 2.09: Describe the services provided by selected government agencies and how funding is provided.
Grades 11–12 — American Government
- Goal 1: The learner will identify the basic foundations of the American political system and assess major changes that have occurred.
- Objective 1.03: Distinguish between federal and state powers as established in the United States Constitution.
- Objective 1.04: Analyze the intent of the Founding Fathers in the creation of our early documents.
