Assignment 4

Due Tuesday February 18, 2003

The objective of this activity is to use LEARN NC to find a lesson plan or a resource that you can use in your classes. I am giving you a general guideline to follow. Please feel free to add or alter these guidelines to better suit your needs.

  1. Open your Internet browser.
  2. Click on "Bookmarks." Select  "LEARN NC."
  3. On the left side of the page under "For Teachers" click on "Instructional Resources."
  4. Click on the link titled "Log in" this is found in the middle of the page. You will be asked for your user name and password. This will give you some user options to help you manage, print, and comment on a lesson plan you select. You can even submit a lesson plan.
  5. Choose one of the options below.

Option 1

  1. Click on the link titled: "Lesson Plans/ WebQuests" in the left column under "Instructional Resources"
  2. Select an appropriate grade level and subject area.
  3. Select a lesson plan.
  4. Send me this page.
    1. Click on "File" in the menu bar.
    2. Select Send Page…
    3. Send to teacher@email.school

Option 2

  1. Click on the link titled: "Front Page" in the left column under "Instructional Resources"
  2. At the first bullet, in the middle of the page, click on the link titled "search for resource"
  3. Search for a topic you would like to find a lesson plan on. Fill in the appropriate fields and click the search button.
  4. Select a lesson plan of interest to you.
  5. Send me a page from the lesson plan you have chosen.
    1. Click on "File" in the menu bar.
    2. Select Send Page…
    3. Send to teacher@email.school

Option 3

  1. Find a lesson plan by exploring other options and links in the "Instructional Resources" section. You may want to look at the marcopolo site. There is a link to this site at the bottom right hand corner of the "Instructional Resources" page. At the top of the page next to the button labeled SEARCH type the topic you wish to find an article on. Click the SEARCH button.
  2. Select a lesson plan that interests you.
  3. Send me a page from the lesson plan you have chosen.
    1. Click on "File" in the menu bar.
    2. Select Send Page…
    3. Send to teacher@email.school
