Exemplary:

• All of the criteria in the Proficient category have been met.
• More advanced work is included. For example the student compares and contrasts the difference between a village and modern buildings.

Proficient:

• Read the story.
• Write about why some shapes are used more than others when building houses.
• Create the village.
• Label the shapes.

Progressing:

• Three of the four criteria in the Proficient category were met.
• More work is needed in ___________________________________

Not Meeting the Standard(s):

• Two or fewer of the criteria in the Proficient category were met.
• The task should be repeated or completed.
