Note to teacher: The descriptors used in this rubric are simple and unattached to specific grades, which you will find easier to do in a manner that reflects your teaching style.

1. "New and improved" 
 

Excellent

Five banner ads displayed with thoughtful identification and comments.

 

Appropriate

Five banner ads displayed with adequate identification and comments. 

 

Mediocre

Fewer than five ads and/or ads have minimally helpful comments.


2. "Using the documents"
 

Excellent

All documents examined with responses that are especially detailed, insightful.

 

Appropriate

All documents examined with questions answered sufficiently and responses that competently interpret the documents

 

Mediocre

Not all documents examined and/or responses incomplete, minimal, or demonstrating little awareness of historical interpretation
