The road to Kings Canyon National Park, CA

Size: 1024×679

The road to Kings Canyon National Park, California. The park is located in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains. It adjoins Sequoia National Park to the south. The parks contain enormous trees, deep canyons, and towering mountains. Elevation within the park ranges from 1,300 feet in the foothills to 14,491 feet at the pinnacle of Mount Whitney (the highest mountain in the contiguous 48 states), resulting in extreme biodiversity, including everything from flora and fauna of the high mountains to endemic cave creatures.
