LEARN NC was a program of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Education from 1997 – 2013. It provided lesson plans, professional development, and innovative web resources to support teachers, build community, and improve K-12 education in North Carolina. An ox cart full of dead wood is attended by a man behind it on a bicycle. The photograph is taken through the front window of a tour bus traveling from Dalat south to Ho Chi Minh City.

The dead and dry wood probably was collected from the surrounding forests by a rural resident who is carting it away so that it can be used or sold as firewood.
